Last minute rainy jam. Trying out some new stuff.
Polishing off our jam shoes.
Buddy Tim filling in on Bass and he brought it (and a metal finger pick). Also made some bold decisions like shutting down a Meters tune that was too out of control for his tastes. Bold.
Another sesh with buddy Jim. Finally got someone to sing that song by Webster's uncle that we've been playing forever!
🎺👨🏻🎤🎤
Another month between jams, but this one was obs made worth it because we sprang for sheet music and Buddy Jim channeled Bobby C + his horn section. Fire.
✨🎶I'd do anyyyythhhannnnng🎶✨
Tj back in town and he brought cousins Bryn and Jon. Heyo! Session included a couple of John originals too.
Chris solo session.
TJ in town! 🎙️
Heyo. Long overdue session. We had about 300 songs that we had discussed playing leading up to this night. I think we played two of them, which actually isn't that bad. Side note, Matt's bro with the venom on a couple songs.
Scott was there. Mahlon deleted my original description of the night though. sooooo....
The night that fell apart. Last minute cancellations from both Adam and Chris. Adam has been doing pushups all weekend and rumor has it Chris has been running laps. So these songs are from a trio.
I don't know who "X" is, but there was a mysterious Thursday night session with him a couple Thursday's ago. I'm lumping everything that I don't recognize as separate recordings of "MMPX" until we figure out a better way to categorize that stuff.
Saturday night sesh that ended before midnight! Some instrument shuffling on Ben Vereen song w Mahlon on keys, Adam and bass, and Matt on drums.
The whole band again! Debuts of some new songs including Head by prince and MMW.
I think Matt had a new strap and it really shows. I don't remember much from this session. Just two songs were posted.
First time we played in a long while and, speaking for myself (Adam) it showed. In other news, Matt got a new pedal!
The whole band!
Some other bro on keys.
edit
Just learned that "bro" is "buddy Jim". Updated.
Buddy Oliver's first visit (I think). And I think buddy Tim was there on percussion too, but the Dropbox folder didn't indicate as such.
An all-original night. This used to be a lot more common that it is now - I think that's due to us putting in a little more effort now though.
Anecdote: This was a really great session IMHO.
Solo Adam session. I think I went down to setup the new keyboard stand after work and stayed.
Solid session a good 50/50 mix of new and old stuff.
